A message from Aaron Schöning, Performance and Nutrition Coach for Entrepreneurs and Executives.
High status in business. A body that no longer matches it.
If you are like many successful men with serious responsibilities, some of these situations will feel uncomfortably familiar:
You lead teams, advise clients or treat patients. You make important decisions every day and solve problems others cannot. For years, your own body has received far less consistency than that.
In event photos, the first things you look at are your stomach, your face and your posture. You already know your “good angles” and prefer to keep your jacket on, because it hides what your shirt no longer can.
You buy shirts one size larger, move your belt another notch and tell yourself the cut is the problem. In reality, you are adjusting your wardrobe to a problem you have been meaning to solve for years.
Your energy crashes after lunch. Coffee keeps you functioning. By the evening you have no energy left to train, and you still wake up the next morning feeling as though you barely slept.
You know about calories, protein, low carb, intermittent fasting, supplements and workout plans. Your knowledge keeps growing while your results stay where they are. You start again on Monday. By Friday, the plan is dead.
And this is probably what frustrates you most:
You hold other people to high standards, while your own keep moving to next Monday.
Eventually the hardest part is your own promise. You say “this time, I am going to change” and you hear that you no longer believe it.
Many successful men believe they simply need to become more disciplined to build an athletic, high-performing body. So they start another diet, download another app, create another workout plan and promise themselves that everything will be different from Monday onward.
And for a few days, it even works. Until a business dinner comes up. Until a meeting runs late. Until a trip disrupts the schedule. Until one bad night causes training, nutrition and recovery to fall apart again.
Then one deviation becomes a bad week. A bad week becomes several weeks. And eventually the same sentence returns: “Once things calm down at work, I will finally do this properly.”
But your business is probably not going to become permanently calm and perfectly predictable. Clients, employees, patients, travel, appointments and responsibility are not going to disappear.
If your fitness system only works during perfect weeks, you do not have a working system.
In your business, there are goals, deadlines, responsibilities, KPIs, reviews and a plan for what happens when things do not go as expected.
With your body, the most important decisions are made spontaneously. What am I going to eat today? Is there anything useful in the fridge? When am I going to shop? What should I order at the business dinner? Am I still going to train today? What do I do while travelling? What happens when my calendar explodes?
Because you have to answer these questions again and again, fitness becomes another project competing for your attention. You already have enough of those.
What you need is a system that holds during normal weeks, during stressful weeks and above all during the weeks when everything goes wrong.
Not another method that only works when you are motivated every day, prepare every meal in advance and always have 90 minutes available for the gym.
In the 12-week Status Body System, your body is treated like a professionally managed performance project. Two specialists manage your nutrition, energy, recovery, training, technique and physique development. We develop the plan around your real calendar. You execute it.
You will train. You will shop and eat. You will briefly track your progress and give feedback. From that point on, you no longer have to reinvent how your body fits into your life every single day.
Your body should reinforce your status, rather than staying the one part of your life you manage with loose shirts, caffeine and excuses.
